3WM Supplies help businesses donate to Newark Foodbank when buying essential supplies

An office supply company had committed to donating 2% of all income received from Newark customers to charity.

Newark-based 3WM Supplies already donate goods to Newark Foodbank every month, including toilet rolls, detergents, handwash and laundry supplies, which help up to 450 families every month.

Now, it has extended its partnership with the foodbank, offering customers the opportunity to support the charity whenever they buy supplies.

Rob Turner, managing director of 3WM Supplies, said: “It’s easy for businesses to help — you buy, we give. We’ll donate 2% of everything we receive from local businesses to the fabulous work Newark Foodbank does supporting local families, and there’s so much more to it than food.”

Established in 2011, Newark Foodbank helps people in crisis in Newark, Tuxford and wider Nottinghamshire, with free access to food and other household essentials.

In 2023 alone, the charity distributed 56 tonnes of donated food and products to over 3,000 adults and 1,500 children in the area.

“We rely on the generosity of local businesses and individuals and the regular donations from 3WM Supplies make a big difference. The pledge to donate from the sales of supplies to local businesses is fantastic and will help many local people,” said Stephen Charnock BEM, chairman of the trustees of Newark Foodbank.

3WM Supplies provide stationery, office furniture, technology, cleaning products and other essential items to hundreds of offices, local authorities, hospitals and hospitality venues across Newark, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and beyond.

Rob added: “We’ve been established since 2008 and businesses choose us for our huge range, friendly service, dependability and excellent prices. It’s saddening to think that one-in-five people in the UK still live below the poverty line and as a progressive business we think this a way we can truly support our local community.”

3WM Supplies is also looking to work directly with other companies and organisations in the area to build ‘coordinated and dependable’ donations for the foodbank and ask interested businesses to contact the company.
