Concerns continue over Balderton special school standards

The interim head of a school for children on the autistic spectrum has said improvements are being made, despite inspectors saying it does not meet required standards.

Although the latest Ofsted report says steps have been taken to improve Hope House School, Balderton, there were still concerns over safeguarding, risk assessment policies and the regulation of hot water temperatures.

The school, on Barnby Road, was inspected by Ofsted in January 2020 when inspectors gave it an inadequate rating.
