It comes after the Robert Miles Junior School in Bingham confirmed a case on Tuesday.

Mike Follen, head at Lowe's Wong Junior School, said: “Everyone at the school has worked hard to safely welcome back our pupils for the new school term.

"We are working with Public Health England and Nottinghamshire County Council to ensure we are following all guidelines and have appropriate extra measures in place to keep everyone as safe as possible.

“This week we had a confirmed case, and have subsequently informed the parents and sent a bubble of 31 children home, in line with government guidelines. The students affected are continuing to access education remotely during this time.

“The safety of our children and their families is my highest priority. We’ll continue to strictly follow all the guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.”
