Copter-fest will be held tomorrow and Sunday at Newark Air Museum.

Helicopters of all shapes and sizes will be on display at Newark Air Museum this weekend.

Copter-fest will be held on Saturday and Sunday, and people are invited to go along and view the aircrafts on display.

The various helicopters in the museum has grown over the years, with the Puma, Chinook and Lynx helicopters the most recent additions last year.

The museum also has a number of military and civilian helicopters landing in their Southfield Site.

The team decided to capitalise on an increase in interest to launch the new Copter-Fest event, which this year will coincide with the International Helicopter Day on Sunday.

Colin Savill, of the museum, said: “The aim of Copter-Fest is to celebrate the helicopters in our collection and to give visitors the chance to take a look inside them, something that is not always possible.

“In addition, we have sent out invitations to various groups and organisations who we envisage will visit us for the weekend to display their helicopter-related items.”
