Newark and Sherwood District Council issue fines after fly tipping offence happens in Fernwood, near Newark, Nottinghamshire




A council has informed residents that its workers are currently in the process of removing illegally dumped waste.

“Please be aware that we are currently working to remove illegally dumped waste on Hollowdyke Lane in Fernwood and the removal date has been scheduled,” said a spokesman from the council.

“Our environmental team have investigated the fly-tipping incident and fines have been issued for the offence.”

“Fly-tipping is illegal,” added the council spokesman.

“If you are paying a third party to dispose of your waste it is your responsibility to ensure it is done so legally. If the waste is found fly-tipped you will be fined or potentially prosecuted.”
