Newark and Sherwood District Council offer businesses a free cyber security workshop in Nottinghamshire

Cyber security is a major issue for many businesses in the modern age and a council is offering businesses in the area the chance to learn more about safeguarding their livelihoods.

Newark and Sherwood District Council will be offering businesses the opportunity to learn how to protect themselves against cybercrime with a Cyber Resilience Workshop.

The event will take place between 10am and midday, Wednesday March 20 at the Aura Centre, Newark and will be free to attend.

“Organised in partnership with the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre, the workshop will focus on the standard practice for cyber security, how to secure customer data securely, what common cyber threats are and how to look out for and protect your business against them,” said a spokesman from the council.
