Newark and Sherwood district councillors reject a motion to ban any form of hunting on district council land




A motion to ban any form of hunting on district council land has been rejected.

Newark and Sherwood district councillors were urged to back a motion calling for the immediate cessation of trail hunting, exempt hunting, exercising of packs of hounds and any gatherings that support these activities on land they own at Tuesday’s full council meeting.

The motion was brought by councillor Gill Dawn.
