Nottinghamshire County Council said an officer would visit the site.

The county council’s head of highways and transport, Gary Wood, said: “We’ve arranged for a member of the Forestry Team to inspect a tree which has concerned residents on London Road, Balderton.

“The tree is on private property but due to it overhanging the highway, our team will inspect today to ensure that it is safe and make the property owner aware if any works are required.

“We ask residents to report any issues with trees or other vegetation through the Nottinghamshire County Council website or the MyNotts App.”
