Norwood Park country home named best historical wedding venue at The Wedding Industry Awards 2023

A quintessentially English Georgian country house has taken top prize at the The Wedding Industry Awards 2023.

Norwood Park, Southwell, was named best historical wedding venue of the year in the country at the ceremony in London.

This most recent win comes on the back of the venue being awarded best historical wedding venue in the East Midlands in November, and best grounds person by the Bridebook Wedding Industry People Awards in January.

Owner Sir John Starkey said: “We are so thrilled to have been awarded this wonderful accolade.

“I am very proud of Charlotte and her team’s hard work, effort and energy especially with the back log of events as a result of covid, as well as the recognition of Norwood Park’s heritage.”

“Thank you to TWIA and to all our amazing couples who took the time to vote for us, a true commendation that has led to this award.”

The house is set in 110 acres of grounds and comes equipped with an adjoining gallery room, a golf course, cricket pitch, self-catering lodges, and a Bramley apple orchard.

General manager Charlotte Powell said she was incredibly proud of achieving the award.

She said it perfectly demonstrated all the hard work that her team collectively put in to every event at the venue.
