In its message, it addressed several subjects, including financial support, workforce support and communications, infection prevention and control measures, testing, personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clinical equipment, human rights, adult social care infection control grant and clinical support.
Tony Harper, chairman of the council’s adult social care and public health committee, paid tribute to the county’s care staff.
He said: “Responding to this crisis has been a huge challenge but we have been incredibly proactive in our support to care homes and other social care providers and I would like to thank all the staff who have made this possible.
“We are particularly pleased with some of the feedback we have had from providers thanking our staff for getting them the PPE and other support they need. I hope this has made their very difficult job a little easier.
“Finally, I would like to pay tribute to all the care staff in Nottinghamshire who have looked after our most vulnerable residents.
“Thank you for all you have done.”
