COURT LISTINGS: Billed £870 for running red light and fined £660 for speeding




This week's Nottingham Magistrates' Court listings have been released.

Cases include a motorist who was billed £870 for running a red light, and a man fined £660 for speeding and using a mobile phone while driving.

A MAN had the case against him proved in absence after he had entered a not guilty plea to running a red light.

Lord Dean Coutts, of School Lane, Uffington, was found to have gone through a red traffic light signal on Grantham Road (A52) Radcliffe.

The 56-year-old was fined £220 and ordered to pay £650 in costs.

A DRINK driver was fined £345 and disqualified for 12 months by Nottingham magistrates.

John Michael pleaded guilty to having 53mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath on of Mill Lane, Caunton, the street where he lives. The legal limit is 35.

The 41-year-old was ordered to pay £119 in costs.

A MOTORIST was fined £660 for speeding and using his mobile phone while driving.

BMW driver Anthony Holehouse, of Covert Crescent, Radcliffe, was found to have broken the speed limit in a 50mph zone.

The incidents were in Hucknall on the same day.

The case against the 36-year-old was proved against him.

Holehouse was ordered to pay £151 in costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
