NEWARK COURT LISTINGS: Cannabis production and police officer assault

The case of a man accused of causing the death of 60-year-old woman while driving a coach has been committed to Nottingham Crown Court.

Mr Nicholas Hird, 57, of Harcourt Street, Newark, denied causing the death of Angela Dowd at the junction of London Road, Bowbridge Road and Sherwood Avenue, Newark, on June 18 through driving without due care and attention.

Mr Hird will make a first appearance at crown court on September 30, after being committed by Nottingham magistrates.
