COURT LISTINGS: Newark man jailed at Nottingham Magistrates' Court for assaults on two females at his home address and damaging a car belonging to one of them

Cases in the Newark area include a man was jailed for 26 weeks for assaults on two females at his home address and damaging a car belonging to one of them.

A MAN was jailed for 26 weeks for assaults on two females at his home address and damaging a car belonging to one of them.

Gareth Wood, 28, of Turner Lane, Boughton, admitted the offences, which were all committed on the same day and while he was already serving a suspended prison sentence.

Magistrates at Nottingham were told it was an unprovoked attack and of a serious nature.

He further admitted damaging fixtures and fittings at the address and causing damage to a police car.

He must pay £128 costs.

A MAN who was carrying a knuckleduster and a golf club during an incident on Winthorpe Road, Newark, received a six-month custodial term, suspended for a year, at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.

Levi Beckford, 18, of Ellis Court, Nottingham, admitted carrying offensive wea-pons in public.

Beckford also admitted using threatening behaviour towards someone as part of the incident, leaving them in fear violence would follow.

He must pay £122 costs.

A SOUTHWELL woman who was more than three times the legal drink-drive limit was banned from the roads for 28 months.

Sarah Gray, 49, of Palmer’s Court, was also fined £621 and told to pay costs of £147 after pleading guilty.

She must pay £147 in costs.

A TWO-YEAR conditional discharge was imposed on a man found guilty at trial of using threatening behaviour towards a woman.

A restraining order was also imposed on Gareth Kirby, 43, of Christopher Crescent, Balderton, who must pay £321 costs.

IAN GARTON, 34, of Devon Road, Newark, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after admitting assaulting a woman. He must pay £105 costs.
