COURT LISTINGS: Newark man, 24, assaults female police sergeant

Cases in the Newark area include a man who damaged two windows and assaulted a female police sergeant.

A MAN who damaged two windows and assaulted a female police sergeant was sentenced to a 12-month community order with 40 hours of unpaid work at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
Damien Bielach, 24, of Yorke Drive, Newark, pleaded guilty to all three offences, committed on January 27.
He must pay £90 costs.
A WOMAN who assaulted a man, causing him actual bodily harm, was sentenced to a nine-month community order with a rehabilitation requirement.
Charlotte Pursey, 41, of Main Street, Hoveringham, pleaded guilty and was fined £85.
She was in breach of a two-year conditional discharge for an assault and damaging a guitar and keyboard, for which the community order also now applies. Pursey must pay £175 costs.
A DRINK-DRIVER almost twice the legal limit was banned for 20 months and told to do unpaid work.
Ryan Donnelly, 29, of Whitfield Street, Newark, drove while under the influence of 70mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.
He must do 50 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order.
Donnelly also admitted being in breach of a community order.
He was re-sentenced to a prison term of eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, with 120 hours of community service. He must pay £175 costs.
