COURT LISTINGS: Newark woman who assaulted police officer and attempted to assault another sentenced to a 12-month community order at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court
This week's Nottingham Magistrates' Court listings have been released.
A woman who assaulted a police officer and attempted to assault another was sentenced to a 12-month community order at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court, with 60 hours of unpaid work.
Elena Munteanu, 39, of Cardinal Hinsley Close, Newark, must pay the officer she assaulted £90 in compensation.
She admitted the two offences, which were charged under attacks on emergency workers legislation.
Matthew Boyles, 26, of Goodwill Road, Ollerton, admitted the possession of cannabis and was fined £220 and told to pay £117 in costs at the same court.
A man was fined £40 and told to pay £77 costs after he was found to be in possession of cannabis while at the Bridwell Custody Suite, Nottingham.
Joshua Adams-Jackson, 22, of Burhill, Cotgrave, admitted possession of the drug.
He further admitted failing to surrender to the custody of Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on an earlier occasion.
He was fined a further £40 for this offence.
