Creation story told in textile at Southwell Minster

A textiles exhibition that retells the creation story in the book of Genesis is being shown at Southwell Minster.

The story is told in a spectacular sequence of 12 huge textile panels.

Threads Through Creation, by acclaimed Devon-based artist Jacqui Parkinson, has delighted visitors with its variety of colours, shapes and patterns.

More than three years in the making, this exhibition is one of the largest ever textile projects by a single artist.

It follows on from Threads Through Revelation, Jacqui’s first large exhibition, which visited 14 cathedrals, including Southwell, from 2016 to 2018, and was seen by more than 500,000 visitors.
