Youngsters were inspired by the prehistoric age during a Design A Dinosaur art session at Ollerton Library, Forest Road, on Monday.

About 20 children, aged five to nine, took part including Ruby Townsend (6) and Lewis Hawke (8) both of Ollerton, who are pictured.

The session was in association with Millgate Museum, Newark, which holds workshops at various locations throughout the summer.

Assistant librarian Mrs Sandra Green said: “We wanted to provide something for the children to do during their summer holidays and we thought the Millgate Museum workshop was a good idea.

“I think the children enjoyed it — they didn’t want to leave.”

Another creative craft session takes place at the library on Monday from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

Youngsters aged five to nine can attend.
