The Leicestershire-based company was the focus of a campaign were its crisp packets were posted back to them.

The company has now put in place collection points across the UK and offers a free courier service if you manage to collect 400 packets.

The new scheme sees Walkers work with TerraCycle, a recycling company.

The collection points can recycle crisp packets and biscuit wrappers made by any brand.

The collection points won't accept popcorn bags, crisp tubes, pretzel bags and meat snack bags.

Crisp packets will be cleaned and shredded before turned into plastic pellets.

These pellets are then transformed into park benches, plant pots, watering cans and cool bags.

The collection point is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm.
