Newark and Sherwood District Council protect decision to buy former Newark Mark and Spencers building
The fallout over the purchase of the former Newark M&S store by Newark and Sherwood District Council continues.
The Advertiser revealed the council bought the Stodman Street building for £540,000, ahead of it going to auction for a second time.
The decision was taken under delegated powers in consultation between senior officers and the council leader with the leader of the opposition informed.
