Environmental Agency East Midlands Fisheries team is reminding the public that the deadline for applications for Fisheries Improvement Programme will be closing soon.

The Environmental Agency East Midlands Fisheries team is reminding the public that its deadline for applications for Fisheries Improvement Programme (FIP) funding is 5pm on February 14.

"The fund, which is supported by rod licence income, is available to help projects aiming to promote sustainable fisheries or improve angling access," said a spokesman from the organisation.

"For example, in 2022/23 the programme helped fund the purchase of angling pegs, solar aeration, signage, and water quality testing equipment across the East Midlands area.

"If you have a project you are interested in developing, please speak to your area fisheries officer and see the FIP funding portal on the Angling Trust website."
