Motor dealership Evans Halshaw investigate fly-tipped documentation on Hollowdyke Lane, Fernwood
A motor dealership is investigating how some of its customer documentation came to be fly-tipped on a country lane.
The waste on Hollowdyke Lane, Fernwood, was discovered by a dog walker.
It was made up of tyres, oil drums, a sofa, a fridge, cabinets and MOT and registration paperwork from the Evans Halshaw Lincoln Ford dealership.
Customer information such as names, contact numbers and car registrations were intact and clearly visible.
When contacted by the Advertiser, a spokesman for Evans Halshaw said: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are fully committed to the privacy of our customers information and do not take this matter lightly.
“We are investigating the situation and liaising with the local authority and our waste disposal suppliers.”
Newark and Sherwood District Council is investigating the incident.
