Death of Mrs Florence Moore

One of Newark’s best-loved characters Mrs Florence Moore died at her home in Baldertongate, Newark, on Saturday afternoon. She was 92.

A funeral service will be held in Newark Parish Church on Tuesday at 2pm followed by burial in Newark Cemetery in her husband’s grave. The service will be taken by the Rector of Newark, the Rev Vivian Enever. The family have asked for donations in her memory for NSPCC Childline.

She leaves her six children - Mr John Moore, Mrs Janet Baillie, Miss Jean Moore, Mrs Jill Rielly, Mrs Mary Holland and Mrs Ruby Evans, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
