A1 re-opens following two-lorry crash

The A1 southbound has fully re-opened following a collision involving two lorries.
One lane was closed and heavy traffic has formed on the A1 towards Newark.
Police were called to the incident at 9.58am this morning.
The air ambulance were in attendance to treat one of the lorry drivers involved the crash. The injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
Highways England said at 3.30pm that the vehicles had been recovered and the road was open.
Motorists using the A1 can expect delays of around 50 minutes.
