Department for Transport TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (East Midlands) (No.08) Order 2018” authorising the stopping up of the whole of the irregular shaped area of highway verge which lies in the centre of Meldrum Crescent in front of No’s 1 – 36 Meldrum Crescent at Newark, in the District of Newark and Sherwood. This is to enable development as permitted by Newark and Sherwood District Council, reference 17/02269/FUL. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gsi.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/EM/S247/3181) and may be inspected during normal opening hours at Churchill Drive Post Office, Churchill Drive, Hawtonville, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG24 4ND.Any person aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of or any provision within the Order, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 05 April 2018 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.G Patrick, Casework Manager
