Developer C B Collier to host public event to share plans for former Flowserve Sports site in Balderton

The public are invited to attend a showcase of proposals for an area of derelict land south of Newark.

Tomorrow (October 15), developer C.B. Collier Limited will reveal its latest proposals for the development of the former Flowserve Sports and Social Club site, off Hawton Lane, Balderton, in a public exhibition.

The event will take place at Balderton Village Hall, on Coronation Street, from 2pm to 7.30pm, and residents are encouraged to drop in to share their views on the plans and ideas for the future of the site.

Representatives of CB Collier will be on hand to answer questions.

The wider 45 acre Flowserve had been on the market since 2007, but remained derelict for over a decade until it was acquired in 2019.

The site was split, with a 37 acre plot allocated for immediate development, and in 2024 Newark and Sherwood District Council granted approval for the development of 309 new residential units.

Plans for the remaining eight acres of land, including the former Flowserve Sports and Social Club site, were explored but no proposals were put forward, until now. No official application has yet been made.
