I was interested to observe that Professor Neil Ferguson, and the Scots government medical adviser, resigned immediately when they were challenged about their behaviour in breaking the social distancing protocols.
I am somewhat confused that, when a government minister, who is key in propagating social distancing rules, then breaks them yet remains in post.
Surely if the rule is that when more junior people resign immediately for a breach, it is much more important when a more high profile, and senior member of government flouts the rules a number of times. — MALCOLM AYERS, Elston, via email.
