Reader's letter: Dismayed by lack of parking spaces
I was dismayed to read the article on the proposed development of the former Marks & Spencer site (Advertiser November 4). The plans include 29 flats and small retail units, but only 15 parking spaces for residents.
Having spent all my young years in Newark, I know it well and love the history of this beautiful town.
Yes, green spaces are more lovely than carparks, but without adequate spaces for parking, a town will die.
