Confirmed coronavirus cases in Newark and Sherwood reaches 1,007 today (Tuesday, October 13) says Public Health England
Thirty new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood according to Public Health England, taking the total to 1,007.
Ashfield 1,037 (up 32) Bassetlaw 926 (up 14) Broxtowe 1,133 (up 49) Gedling 942 (up 67) Mansfield 665 (up 11) Newark and Sherwood 1,007 (up 30) Rushcliffe 1,085 (up 49) Nottingham 6,085 (up 427) Nottinghamshire 6,795 (up 252).
Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed yesterday (Monday, October 12) the whole of Nottinghamshire had been given high risk status in the new national system of coronavirus restrictions.
It means a ban on mixing between households indoors will officially come into force from Wednesday. The rule of six will continue to be in place outdoors, including private gardens.
Shops, pubs and restaurants will be allowed to remain open.
