Hospitality and leisure businesses in Newark and Sherwood can now apply for a grant to help with any struggles they may have due to omicron.

Newark and Sherwood District Council is one of the first local authorities in the country to set up the government Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant announced in December.

The one-off grants, worth up to £6,000, hope to provide support to the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors due to the effects the rise of the omicron covid variant could have over the coming weeks.
