Newark and Sherwood residents to pay 2.9% more in council tax as district councillors vote to increase it by its maximum
People in Newark and Sherwood will pay 2.9% more in their council tax bills from April.
The increase, which will see more money going into services and rainy day reserves, was approved on Monday.
The Conservative-led budget was criticised by Labour Group leader Paul Peacock, who put forward an amendment that was rejected.
