New B&Q store currently under construction at The Maltings Retail Park, Newark

Time for some DIY as home improvement giant B&Q prepares to open a new store in Newark.

The store, at The Maltings Retail Park, Northgate, is currently under construction.

It promises a range of DIY and homeware products, click and collect services and expert advice.

A B&Q spokesman said: "Our planning application for a smaller store in Newark has been approved, which will be situated at The Maltings Retail Park.

"The new smaller store will have a wide range of home improvement products while offering customers access to the full B&Q range of more than 40,000 products through home delivery and click and collect, as well as access to specialist services help on those trickier projects.

"We look forward to opening our doors and supporting the people of Newark with all their home improvement needs."
