Hannah Day, MHA Southwell Live at Home manager, said: “We are super excited about our first really big fundraiser – our aim as a charity is to create a community we will all want to grow older in and who better to champion this then a tribute to Dolly Parton who is 74 years old and still going strong!”

“Money raised will go towards running activities and services in the Southwell & District area, helping to reduce social isolation and loneliness in people over 60, the work we do enables people to find new ways of socialising and remaining independent often at times of significant change.”

Money raised from the March 6 evening of live music at the Minster School will go towards activities, events and befriending support for those aged 60 and over as the charity hopes to tackle social isolation.

Tickets are £20 and available on 01636 816565 or from CORE Southwell, on King Street.

Tickets include a table seat, cheese platter and sweet treat. Raffle prizes are also sought.
