Police report cases of drink driving in Newark, Bassetlaw and Sherwood
Police reported multiple arrests over the weekend following incidents of drink driving.
On Saturday (May 11) Newark Police confirmed a 24-year-old male was arrested in the early hour of the morning after failing to provide a roadside breath test.
The man was seen staggering to the drivers seat of his car by officers.
The following day (Sunday, May 12) Newark Police posted updates of another drink driving incident (pictured).
A spokesman from Newark Police said: "Miraculously the driver was not seriously injured and no other innocent party was involved.
"Disappointingly, this was one of five arrests in just a few hours on suspicion of drink driving in and around Newark, Bassetlaw and Sherwood."
