Newark Police fine driver for having insecure load and defective rear tyre

A driver has been fined and prohibited for having an insecure load and defective rear tyre.

The truck stopped by Newark Police officers after its load was seen to be stacked high with waste including car parts and scrap.

Officers have warned motorists to ensure their vehicle is safe before heading for the road.
