Drug-driving, burglary and a man who stole vinyl records among cases before Nottingham Magistrates' Court
A man caught driving while unfit through drugs was fined £80 and banned from driving for a year at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
Nathaniel Briggs-Price, 20, of Coronation Street, Balderton, pleaded guilty.
He also admitted charges of neglecting or failing to stop the vehicle, driving without due care and attention, and driving without insurance.
Fines amounted to £240 for the motoring offences.
Briggs-Price also admitted to having a quantity of cannabis on him, for which he was also fined £80.
- A burglar who stole £80 from a Newark B&B was fined and told to pay compensation.
Ian McPhail, 43, of Lyndhurst Road, Sneinton, admitted burglary and was fined £80 anhd told to pay £180 in compensation.
He was also fined £40 for an offence of criminal damage to a police van following his arrest that day.
McPhail also admitted stealing £245-worth of razor blades from Asda Newark on a separate occasion, for which he was fined another £80.
Costs awarded against him amounted to £165.
- A thief who stole vinyl records from HMV in Sheffield twice in three days was sentenced to a community order.
Julian Marsh, 53, of Lombard Street, Newark, admitted the thefts, which had a combined value of £2,000.
He was sentenced to a 12-month community order with a fine of £80 and costs of £180.
