Plans to transform part of Newark’s iconic Buttermarket to community space use have been submitted.

Newark and Sherwood District Council planners have been asked to consider the authority’s own request for change of use and proposed internal alterations to the Buttermarket atrium first-floor level and adjacent ‘old pub’ area.

The change of use is to education and halls or meeting places for the principle use of the local community.
