A1 southbound from near Newark to Gonerby Moor closed after serious collision

The A1 southbound has closed due to a serious collision.

It is shut from near Foston to the B1174 near Gonerby Moor.

Lincolnshire Police and emergency services are in attendance.

Traffic caught within the closure is in the process of being released.

Diversion route

Road users are advised to follow Hollow Diamond diversion symbol on road signs.

• Exit the A1 onto the A46 southbound
• Take the A52 eastbound at Bingham
• Continue on the A52 to Barrowby and rejoin the A1 near Grantham
