Children's Bereavement Centre Halloween town trail competition at ScareFest to win family ticket for Cinderella at Newark Palace Theatre this Christmas
Take part in a charity Halloween town trail this half-term to be in with the chance of winning tickets to this year's panto.
The Children's Bereavement Centre has organised a themed activity as part of this year's Scarefest where participants will have to find the numbers on spiders lurking in shop windows around Newark.
Participants will need to solve riddles that give clues as to the location of the spiders.
Those wanting to take part can collect a spooky spider trail sheet from the first stop, but you have to find it first with a clue: "Down Lombard Street on old sacred ground, amongst the furniture is where our first spider can be found."
Alternatively, the trail sheets can be downloaded for printing by going to the Children's Bereavement Centre website.
Once all of the spiders have been found and the numbers written down, the sheets can be submitted at ScareFest in Newark Castle this weekend on Saturday October 29 or Sunday 30th.
Entries will be put into a draw to win a family pass to this year's production of Cinderella at Newark Palace Theatre.
There are ten independent shops taking part in the trail as part of the wider activities of this year's ScareFest.
Some other activities at the charity event include pumpkin carving, face-painting, fancy dress competitions, carnival style games and a guided ghost walk through Newark.
ScareFest will take place at Newark castle on Saturday and Sunday (October 29 and 30), 11am to 4pm.
