Tom Horner added: “I have known the team at Geo2 for a large proportion of my career, and I feel honoured to be a part of that team now.

“It’s exciting to help drive their next phase of growth and be a part of their land quality offering alongside so many familiar faces.”

The company has also expanded with the addition of eighteen new team members over the past six months.

Geo2 is a multi-award winning business providing ground solutions through “sustainable, cost effective and bespoke services” to combat ground risks for the full lifetime of the site’s use.

The new Newark team will focus on work in the East Midlands and the south, and have specific experience working with logistics, industrial, retail, residential, commercial and energy sectors.

Founder and director Mark Swindells said: “We are absolutely elated to have welcomed eighteen new people to the Geo2 family and to have opened a new regional office. It’s been an ambition for some time now to expand the team and really embed environmental risk management into the business.

“We want to be a one stop shop for all things contamination, so we really are a full service offering to our clients. The new team bring experience in ground related liabilities, constraints and opportunities arising from contamination, ground stability and geotechnical issues which are areas of the business we needed to strengthen.”
