Reader's letter: Environmental targets

With regard to the article by Councillor David Lloyd on other councils not complying with climate change targets (Honourable Path To Climate Change Targets, Advertiser, December 31) I agree.

I would like to see all new housing developments tied in to ecological energy saving ideas, both now and in the future, with better insulation and solar panels.

This should be a standard for all new builds, both for the benefit of buyers and for our global status in the environment. ­— JAMES WEALE, Fernwood.
