Gavin Collison leaves hospital after Collingham's fatal house fire




The father of two children who died in a Collingham house fire has been released from hospital.

Gavin Collison, 34, sadly lost his wife, Justine Collison, 33, and children, Isabella, 8, and Harvey, 5, in the blaze on December 15.

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed Gavin was released from hospital.

Gavin sustained injuries in the fire which left him hospitalised.

The fire took place on Woodhill Road, Collingham, and the cause has not yet been identified by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

A week after the fire, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service carried out approximately 120 safe and well visits in Collingham.

During the visit, staff from the prevention team, firefighters and volunteers from departments including, resources and finance, spoke to more than 2,000 people.

The investigation to determine the cause of the fire is currently ongoing.
