A female is in hospital after a road traffic collision saw a car leave the road and enter the River Trent.
Fire crews from Newark attended the incident on Hoveringham Road, Hoveringham, at 3.47pm today (Tuesday).
Hoveringham Road will remain closed near Ferry Farm Park until the car is recovered and the road is cleared.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information that could aid officers in their investigation, or has any dashcam footage, should call 101 and quote incident number 565 of September 24.
