The Christmas fair at Bingham raised more than £1,4000 for the Children's Bereavement Centre

A Christmas fair held on Saturday raised more than £1,400 for the Children’s Bereavement Centre, Newark.

The event at Bingham Methodist Church saw a steady flow of people with a number of stalls, food, games and more.

Funds raised for the centre will be used to help support local children and families affected by death and terminal illnesses by offering a range of free support services.

The 13 stalls offered a range of gifts and other items, with food and drink available throughout the day.

Lynn Mellors, one of the organisers, said: “The event was well supported with a good atmosphere throughout the day.”

The total raised is now more than £2,000.
