Final day hours to make Newark Business Awards nominations for 2024
The deadline for entering this year’s Newark Business Awards is fast approaching.
You now have just 24 hours left to make your category submissions.
Nominations close at 2pm tomorrow.
But that still leaves plenty of time for you to enter — either your own organisation or one you think deserves recognition.
Making the initial entry takes a matter of minutes.
Advertiser editor Sharon Hodkin said: “We have been delighted with the number and quality of entries we have received so far in the various categories.
“But if you haven’t entered yet there is still time — but only just.
“The awards are a great opportunity to shout about your business and tell others just how great it is so do not miss the opportunity.
“Take a few minutes to enter and start the process.”
Simply choose which category/categories you wish to enter and go to our website www.newark businessawards. co.uk and fill in the entries.
There are 11 categories to enter — Business of the Year, Businessperson of the Year, Employer of the Year, Team of the Year, Environmental Champion, Best Social Enterprise, Best Independent Retailer, Business Innovation, Customer Care, Best Start-up, and our newest addition leisure, tourism and hospitality.
You can either nominate your own business, or nominate others, in up to two categories.
There are two stages to the nomination process.
Firstly, you will be asked to give basic details on the website.
Each nominee will then be sent an electronic entry pack to fill in and send back.
You then have a week to complete your entry packs, until Friday, March 29.
Our independent judges will then use the information supplied to decide the four finalists in the categories.
The finalists will be revealed in the Advertiser on April 18.
After the announcement, the hard work really starts for our judging teams.
Over the following weeks they willvisit each finalist to see the business first-hand and speak to owners and staff to get a real feel for the operation.
This will be used to decide the overall winners and a highly-commended business in each category.
These will be revealed in a black-tie gala celebration at Newark Showground on Friday, June 14.
Around 300 people will be at the event, making a great celebration for local businesses as well as a chance to network.
If you do not want to enter this year’s awards but still want to get involved, a range of sponsorship opportunities are available.
More details are available on the awards website.
