Southwell's fire crew have engine filled for free by BP after attending incident in Fiskerton
Southwell's fire crew had their engine filled for free after attending a minor incident this afternoon.
The crew received the kind gesture from BP in Southwell after responding to a call about a bonfire in the open in Fiskerton.
They arrived at around 1.43pm and used two hose reels to bring the fire under control.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is appealing to the public as the weather begins to get warmer and Bank Holidays approach, to make fire control aware if you decide to have a controlled fire.
If people report their intention to have a fire, this then avoids a firefighter or crew being called out unnecessarily.
You can make fire control aware by calling 01332 861800.
