Newark firefighters called to industrial blaze near Nottingham overnight

Firefighters from Newark were sent to help tackle a large industrial blaze near Nottingham overnight.

Emergency services were called to the fire on Harrimans Lane, Dunkirk, at around 7:30pm yesterday (Saturday).

By 9:45pm, over 100 firefighers were from across Nottinghamshire were at the scene, including people from stations in Collingham and Bingham.

Residents are being urged to avoid the area this morning (Sunday) and to be wary of the high volumes of smoke in the atmosphere.
