Newark and Sherwood District Council street teams have started the flooding cleanup after Storm Henk





As flood waters recede in places, the cleanup has begun.

Newark and Sherwood District Council have their street cleaning teams out and they have now started the mammoth clean-up effort in the aftermath of Storm Henk.

"While we are still supporting communities cut off from flooding, our teams are out and about this morning beginning to clear up the paths and roads," said a spokesman from the council.

"Homes remain flooded, and some villages are still cut off.

The cleanup in the aftermath of Storm Henk which caused monumental flooding has started.

"We know that some roads are impassable, and road closures remain.

"We will continue working hard on this."
