Hearing to follow after planning permission for 322 dwellings on the former Flowserve site off Hawton Lane, Balderton, was rejected
Details of a developer’s appeal hearing, against the refusal of a planning application for the Flowserve site at Balderton, is included in this week’s Advertiser public notices.
C. B. Collier NK Ltd applied for outline planning permission for 322 dwellings on the former factory site off Hawton Lane.
However, it was rejected by Newark and Sherwood District Council over concerns at a lack of affordable housing, community facilities, public open space and transport improvements.
The developer has appealed the decision, and an inquiry will be heard by a planning inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.
The hearing, which will be held virtually by Microsoft Teams or telephone, is expected to last three days, starting on Wednesday, March 24.
Anyone wanting to attend the inquiry needs to express an interest in advance of the hearing.
