Newark and Sherwood District Council team cleans fly-tipping on Drove Lane, Newark




A district council team has cleared a farm track following reports of leftover building material fly-tipping.

This afternoon (Monday), a Newark and Sherwood District Council team attended a fly-tipping incident on Drove Lane, Newark.

It was reported that there was plenty of leftover building material, wood and plastics.

A district council spokesperson said: “Not only is fly-tipping harmful to the environment and a blight on our landscape, but those caught could face unlimited fines and/or receive a prison sentence.

“While there has been no official report about this specific incident, our teams are looking into this.

“If you spot fly-tipping, please report it as soon as possible, as any information can help us when investigating.”
