Farnsfield folk night returns to raise money for Prostate Cancer Research

A charity folk night is set to return in aid of Prostate Cancer Research.

Folk band The Whiskey Priests will play a mix of traditional and contemporary Irish folk and country songs.

Their repertoire includes covers from The Dubliners, The Pogues, Christy Moore, Van Morrison, Steve Earle and more, all of which will be performed at the event.

The five-member group hail from Staffordshire.

They’ll play fiddle, guitar, banjo, accordion, double bass and drums.

The event will be held at Farnsfield Village Hall, on Friday, September 2, from 7.30pm.

It is returning after a successful first year in 2021.

There will be a fully-licensed bar, selling real ale, wine and soft drinks.

Guests will be seated at tables, with table-service for the bar. There are 100 tickets available.
